Stuffffff……?

This is all random and not well put together… but these are my thoughts and my prayer.

Today i met with one of my campus Pastors, an awesome man of God. We were talking about Baptism in The Spirit and such and i really got to thinking about his message that was spoken over our Fall Retreat with DCF. He spoke on the Baptism of The Holy Spirit and what i didnt realize is the reason why he didnt mention speaking in tongues first. He talked on the Gifts of the Spirit first. The reason being is that tongues comes with the Baptism but also what should come along with that are the fruits of the Spirit. Are we so focused on tongues and recieving only that part that we dont see the other things God is doing in our lives at the same time? What should come with Baptism of the Spirit isnt just speaking in tongues (initial physical evidence) but also a change of how we percieve things, awe struck wonder, a deeper reverence for God, the fruits of the Spirit and much more. I think one thing that often gets us is that we think tongues is all we recieve, that tongues is the next step and the only other step and nothing is left to obtain afterward. We have much more to recieve from the Lord. We need to use that “Rocket Fuel” that is The Baptism of the Spirit and launch further in relationship with God. Being Filled with The Spirit should cause us to want more, to seek more, to ask for more. God will give us more, He wants us to do more, to see more, experience more.

I have been encouraged by some new people who have entered my fellowship (DCF), they have such a hunger to see God move, such an openness to God working and moving. They literally want to see Heaven on Earth, they want to be used by God, they strive to move mountains. That is creating a fire in me. I want to see it as well. Jesus said that we will do better than He did. Can we? Will we? How will we? We can and will, through Him. He has everything we need to do so, we just need to seek after it. We need to persue it. All the equiping we need is FREE. As the Gift of Salvation was Free, so is the Indwelling of the Spirit, The Baptism of The Spirit is Free! All we need is to Have Faith. To see the Kingdom of Heaven present on Earth, we need Faith. To Heal we need Faith. To move mountains we need Faith.

This is My Prayer:

Lord God, I thank You Lord for Being a Loving gracious God. A God who loves us and wants us to Love all that You have created and to Love each other well. I thank You Lord who first showed us to Love, to Love others as well. Lord i Pray for a fire to be started in myself and the community You have divinely put me in, a fire that cannot be quenched, A fire and passion that will not rest or tire out Lord. We ask Lord for More of You God, Holy Spirit would You fil us again, Will You give us fresh anointing and fresh Blessing to do Your will O Lord. To do Your work on this earth God, our temporary home Lord. We ask Lord for More God. Lord God would You increase our Faith Lord, Stress our Vines so that we me GROW Lord, so that We may Grow. Lord God would You forgive us if we have neglected You God, Holy Spirit if we have quinched You or Neglected You would You forgive us O God. We ask For ears to be Opened, For Eyes to see Lord. To be more sensitive to You Lord, More sensitive to conviction and the crying of Your heart, To Hear You and to see You more clearly Lord. We Thank You Lord For being a God who hears our plea, A God who knows our heart and our desire. Lord conform our hearts and Minds to Yours God. Lord so that our desires match Yours, that our hearts match Yours, that our thoughts match Yours. Lord i thank You for your Son, I thank You Jesus for being our Intercessor, for standing in as our Mediator for pleading for us Lord. In Jesus name Amen.
